Patient Advocacy and Navigation for clients requiring additional assistance accessing resources. Our Advocates and Navigators are:

An advocate or navigator can assist with the following: Trained volunteers provide emotional and practical support.
BCRC volunteers are trained using the Shanti Model of Volunteer Support. The Shanti Model is a nationally recognized program that has been utilized to train volunteers to provide emotional and practical support for cancer patients and their loved ones for over 30 years.

Health Education

Cancer Health Education
As part of connecting people to resources and information, the BCRC understands the importance of screening and early detection of cancer. Through health education classes, we provide information that promotes risk reduction through early detection and screening. Our classes are presented with sensitivity to the various cultural needs of the communities we serve. The BCRC offers classes, health talks, and presentations on the following topics:
